Encipher would like to announce Encipher TV. It comes as no surprise that we are in love with Android technology, so it should come as no extra surprise that our EncipherTV box runs Android also. Below are the specifications of the upcoming device:

  • The main chip is CORTEX A8 core, Samsung S5PV210, frequency up to 1GHz, 512MB memory, built-in 2G memory space.
  • Android2.2 operating system.
  • Built-in WiFi module.
  • RJ45 interface for wired network connection.
  • Support 1080P video playback.
  • HDMI video output, connect to definition television through the interface, and to play high-definition video .
  • USB interface for connecting high-capacity mobile hard disk, and can connect a mouse and keyboard to operate;
  • Support wireless Bluetooth keyboard
  • Bluetooth File Transfer.
  • Support for 2.4G wireless remote control operation;
  • Support FLASH PLAYER 10.1, available online play video;
  • Support for music playback, photo browsing, and enjoy more family entertainment;
  • SD card expansion

Typical usage scenarios for this are:

1) Video-on-Demand services for various local content programs, dramas etc.

2) Ability to browse the internet on your TV by connecting a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

3) Various training videos can be uploaded and used by organizations to train current and new members of staff.

Encipher intends to provide a media hosting service to hold all media files for appropriate broadcast over the internet. Finally, because it runs Android, applications built by developers via our AppStore can be installed on the device for viewing on TV. So any good educational application for Encipher INYE tablet can also be rendered on the TV.
